Autometer 4489 Ultra-Lite 5" Hall Effect Electronic 160 MPH Speedometer With Odometer And Trip

This electronic speedometer uses a hall effect sensor (not included) to transmit your speed to the speedometer. Any of these four sending units will work:

• 5290 - Universal magnetic sensor with 4 magnets and a bracket
• 5291 - For GM and Chrysler transmissions with a 7/8"-18 cable drive
• 5292 - For Ford transmissions with a plug in style speedometer cable
• 5289 - GPS interface with 5283 GPS antenna

The 5290 kit is the least expensive. 5291 and 5292 are mid price range. The 5289 GPS kit is the most expensive but is the easiest to setup. Autometer's electric speedometers have a 16000 PPM (Pulses Per Mile) calibration from the factory. The 5289 interface module kit also comes pre calibrated for a 16000 PPM. When you purchase the two, no calibration is necessary.
