Autometer 5290 Universal Hall Effect Speedometer Sensor With Bracket And 4 Magnets

Autometer hall effect speed sensors generate the signal you need to make installing an Autometer electric speedometer in your vehicle quick and easy. This is a universal kit with magnets that you epoxy to your CV joint or the u-joint bearing caps on your driveshaft. This speed sensor outputs a 4 pulse per revolution (PPR), 12v square wave signal.

The sensor has 3/8"-24 thread and has 3 wires for ground, ignition on, and a signal wire for the speedometer. This speed sender comes with a universal mounting strap that can be bent, cut, and shaped into what you need for most applications. You will need to find a suitable location to mount the sender that will maintain proper distance (between 1/4" and 1/2") between it, and the magnets.

Autometer also offers the 5289 hall effect electronic speedometer GPS conversion interface. That kit allows you to use a GPS antenna instead of have to deal with magnets and glue.
