This speedometer includes the 5283 omnidirectional waterproof 10HZ GPS antenna with a 16 foot cable. The antenna can be placed inside or outside of the vehicle. The antenna is waterproof and can be painted. Common mounting places are the roof or the dashboard. If using any other GPS device, keep the antennas at opposite ends of the vehicle for best results. Closely mounted antennas can increase the time it takes to acquire a signal.
The speedometer end of the cable has a SMA connector that looks similar to a cable TV coax connector.
