Product Information:

Autometer's mechanical oil, transmission and water temperature gauges have copper capillary tubing filled with ether gas and when the gas expands, the needle on the gauge rises.

Towards the top edge of the probe, there's a tapered seat that gets compressed between the Peterson 09-1940 tee fitting and the 5/8-18 tube nut (usually blue). Both sides of this tee fitting have AN #10 male fittings to simplify your plumbing.
