This plug and play kit includes Autometer's 9117 tach signal adapter, Aptiv Delphi 150 series Metri-Pack, and Deutsch connectors. You don't have to cut anything in your LS engine's factory wiring harness to install an Autometer tachometer.
The weatherproof 9117 module uses the power supply wire of a coil pack to create a conventional 8 cylinder 4 pulse 12 volt square wave signal output which can be utilized by Autometer tachometers. The gray wire coming out of the 9117 module is the tach signal wire that connects to the green wire on the tachometer.
