Our American made torsion bars are available in three different lengths and 24mm to 30mm diameters to allow you to choose the right spring rate for any given application. 4340 chromoly torsion bars are commonly used on drag racing VW's and offroad racing buggies.
Keep in mind that the amount of leverage you apply to the torsion bar will change your ride quality. VW IRS using aftermarket 3x3 or 3x5 trailing arms for example, apply more leverage on the torsion bar than stock IRS trailing arms. The diameter of the torsion bar increases to compensate for the extra leverage you're applying to the suspension system.
