Always make sure that the threads of the screws do not stick through the internal bypass body, otherwise the wear band on the shock's piston will be destroyed.
This gold anodized screw replaces the old style stainless steel button head socket screws (allen screws). Fox used to take a standard off the shelf stainless button head and machine down the head to make it thinner (roughly 0.080" head thickness down to 0.050" head thickness). The thickness of the head on the new hex screws is 0.050" but the tab that goes underneath the screw adds 0.020".
You use these gold anodized screws with the 241-00-052 locking tab (sold separately). The tab folds over to prevent the screws from backing out. The tab is 0.020" thick. The two mounting holes are 1/2" on center. It will work with the 077 series shims or the 073 series shims that have two mounting holes and a center free bleed hole.
