Always make sure that the threads of the screws do not stick through the internal bypass body, otherwise the wear band on the shock's piston will be destroyed.
The two mounting holes on the above shim are 1/2" on center and you use two 8-32 thread screws. The center hole is a free bleed, allowing oil to pass freely in the rebound or compression stroke.
Fox makes machined stainless steel button head socket screws (allen screws) and they make gold anodized aluminum hex screws that you use with a locking tab to prevent the screws from backing out.
The button head allens are machined from roughly 0.080" head thickness down to 0.050" head thickness. The thickness of the head on the hex screws is 0.050" but the tab that goes underneath the screws adds 0.020".
