Single dry break receiver with red anodized aluminum bulb for 55mm hose. Accepts a 2-1/2" diameter male probe. The mounting nut uses a 3/16" pin spanner wrench. Will also work on the Can-Am Maverick R with minimal alterations.
Similar to Geiser Bros dry break receiver adapter fuel cap, the gray dry break portion of this setup can unthread by hand, allowing you to fill your UTV with a traditional gas nozzle.
A discriminator valve prevents fuel from traveling up the vent line. Normally there are two balls in a discriminator valve. One ball floats when fuel enters the valve. This is especially important if you're using a pressurized fill system. The other ball is heavy and uses gravity if you roll the vehicle over. Redhead ONLY includes the plastic floating ball. If you want the steel ball for rollover, a stock Porsche 930 CV joint ball will fit into this discriminator valve. The discriminator valve uses a 3/4" hose.
To rebuild this dry break, there are only two seals:
- One dash 144 o-ring 3/32" thick 2-1/2" ID 2-11/16" OD
- One quad ring 3/16" thick 2-1/8" ID 2-1/2" OD
