Product Information:

This isolator allows interior mounting of 0-100 PSI fuel pressure gauges without the danger of routing a line containing dangerous gasoline into the driving compartment. This is accomplished by plumbing the isolator between the fuel pressure source and the gauge. When pressurized, the fuel presses against a diaphragm inside the isolator, which uses a fluid (50/50 mixture of water and antifreeze) to pressurize the gauge. 0-15 PSI fuel pressure gauges use part number 5376 instead.

Important Notes:

The isolator must be mounted in the engine compartment. (Do not mount it onto the fire wall -per NHRA/IHRA rules). Maximum tab width .085" thick for the e-clip to still clip on.

The gauge and isolator should be mounted at the same height to insure an accurate reading. If not mounted level with each other, the fluid weight will cause a slight accuracy error.

Do not remove the plastic cap with label until the isolator is connected to the gauge

This isolator can not be used with Nitromethane. Nitromethane will cause the isolator diaphragm to quickly deteriorate and render it ineffective.

This kit includes the pressure adapter and four feet of AN -4 hose to go from the adapter to the gauge. The back of Autometer fuel pressure gauges have a -4 male fitting.

You still need to purchase -4 fittings and lines to go from the fuel pressure adapter to your fuel lines. You will also need a mounting bracket, no thicker than .085" (because of the e-clip) to hold the pressure adapter. Do not mount it onto the fire wall -per NHRA/IHRA rules.

The -4 hose between the pressure adapter and gauge gets filled with a 50/50 mixture of water and antifreeze. The pressure adapter has a bleeder screw on it to release any trapped air.
