Description
The only difference between the 803-02-029 clamps and the 803-02-044 clamps is that the 803-02-044 includes reducer inserts. The outside diameter of the old style steel reservoir measured 2 inches. The outside diameter of the new style aluminum reservoirs measures 2.165 inches.
Inserts (not included with 803-02-029) allow you to:
2" steel shock body to 2" steel resi
2" steel shock body to 2.165" aluminum resi
2.165" aluminum shock body to 2.165" aluminum resi
You'll use one reservoir clamp per shock and clamp onto the BOTTOM edge of the reservoir as shown in this picture. If you clamp on the middle of the reservoir, as the shock heats up, you could trap the IFP internal floating piston and damage your shock.
