Aftermarket camber eccentric adjusters such as EMPI's 22-2817-0 have the hole further offset than OEM to compensate for lowering or raising a VW axle beam to the maximum positions. This fat washer goes on the nut side of the upper ball joint. It's extra thick (almost 6mm) and 1-3/8" in diameter to help cover up the large hole on the spindle.
