Product Information:

Watching your precise exhaust temperature can mean the difference between maximum performance and catastrophic engine damage. On high output diesel, super charged or turbo charged applications, there are few gauges that are more critical. Autometer's stepper motor makes viewing your exact exhaust temperature effortless.

Includes:

  • P12709 Type K thermocouple sending unit
  • 5297 ten foot wiring harness
  • SAE size 48 worm gear hose clamp
(with a 1/4" hole drilled into it)
  • 7/16"-20 to 1/8" NPT pipe thread adapter fitting
  • 1/4" shaft collar
  • 1/8" NPT steel weld-on bung
  • Autometer P12709 type-k thermocouples and 5297 wiring harness

Autometer gives you two options to mount the sensor:

    • You can use a hose clamp around your exhaust pipe and a shaft collar. This gives you the flexibility of setting the depth of the probe. They include a #48 hose clamp, but you can purchase any of the clamps listed below and drill a 1/4" hole into it yourself.
    • You can weld the supplied 1/8" NPT pipe thread steel bung to your exhaust, thread the adapter fitting in then use the supplied 7/16" retaining nut to hold the probe in place. This sets the probe roughly 1" deep into the exhaust pipe. This is a stronger solution, but depending on your exhaust header, might be too deep or not deep enough.
