XRP's fuel or oil filter housings include an internal spring but not a filter. Their filters are available with or without a bypass relief valve and either a standard or high pressure core. The non bypass style forces all fluid through the filter media. The 15 PSI bypass relief valve allows fluid to circumnavigate the filter media in the event that it gets overly clogged or an unusual spike in pressure.

Compatible XRP and Peterson Fluid Systems Filter Elements

XRP numbers with RV have the bypass relief valve. Part numbers with HP have the high pressure core. Peterson part numbers ending in 14 or 18 have the non-bypass top. Part numbers ending in 15 or 19 have the bypass relief valve.
