Keep in mind that the amount of leverage you apply to the torsion bar will change your ride quality. IRS using aftermarket 3x3 or 3x5 trailing arms for example, apply more leverage on the torsion bar than stock IRS trailing arms. The diameter of the torsion bar increases to compensate for the extra leverage you're applying to the suspension system.
