The minimum diameter on the large side is 1-5/8" but can be stretched up to 1-3/4". The minimum diameter on the small side is 1" but can be stretched up to 1-1/4" for the tie rod. Even though the large end is round, it fits our oval/rectangular end caps on our 641022SU end load rack and pinions without a problem.
