Pleated stainless steel cleanable pre fuel filter or oil filter. On the top inlet side of Peterson's filters, they come with either a 09-0487 block off plate or a 09-0488 spring-loaded bypass valve. Both are held in place by a Spirolox retaining ring clip. If you're replacing an existing bypass filter element, and your current bypass valve is in good working order, you can purchase the non bypass filter and install your old valve into the new filter to save money.
Peterson color codes their filters to make it easier for you to identify. Blue top and gold bottom is a 75 micron filter.
Peterson's 400 series filter housings with -8 -10 -12 or -16 end caps use the same size filter. Only the housing with the -20 end caps uses a different size filter.
