Jaz 5 bolt fuel level sending units are restricted to diesel or gasoline with the unit connected to a single fuel gauge that utilizes a 12 VDC negative ground system voltage. No adjustments can be made to the length or resistances. Standard hookup is two 10-32 studs.
This linear sender reads 70-10 Ω for AFTERMARKET reproduction fuel level gauges for Ford and Chrysler applications such as Autometer, Livorsi, Stewart Warner, Sunpro or VDO. OEM pre 1987 Mustangs, pre 1989 Fords and most Chryslers used a non-linear gauge and sending unit. Make sure you match your gauge with the appropriate sending unit BEFORE you make a purchase!
Note: 5 bolt fuel gauge sending units are intentionally asymmetrical. Meaning the spacing between each of the 5 bolt holes isn’t even. Keep spinning the sending unit around and eventually the holes will line up with your fuel cell.
