This is the standard replacement gear for 101 and 104 series HiTorque starters using a 12v VW style 130 tooth flywheel. It is also the replacement gear for the 102 series Chevy SBC / BBC small or big block and the Ford 106 series SBF / BBF small or big block.
This gear DOES NOT fit the HiTorque IMI 101NMR / 101NMRHD series Mazda Rotary starters. They use an 11 tooth gear.
