Description
This cap uses o-ring part number 029-03-115-A (not included). Fox used this cap on external bypass shocks to protect the Schrader valve from getting broken off by debris. It will work on any piggyback or remote reservoir shock that has a FLAT end cap for the Schrader valve with 9/16" to 5/8" of the valve stem sticking above the cap.
It clears the 9/16" hex on Schrader valves that are 7/16"-20 ORB.
When Fox switched to 5/16"-32 ORB o-ring boss valves, they countersunk the Schrader into the end cap and the 010-00-223-A protective cover will not work on those style end caps. The thread of the Schrader valve won't reach the 010-00-223-A protective cap and because of the dome that's machined into the end cap, the o-ring on the protective cap wouldn't seal against it.
