Important! The EASIEST solution to running a brushless fan is to use Spal's sensor and harnesses to operate it. The fan connects to the SBL-YAZ-PT10 which connects to the SBL-TS-HARN which connects to Spal's temperature sensor. This makes the fan have a variable speed. As the engine gets hotter, the fan spins faster. Any of Spal's brushless fans can also be ran off any low current negative grounding PWM Pulse Width Modulation controller. The difference between the 30107090 and the 30107101 is the amperage draw, wattage, depth and CFM:
NOTE: The new Plus series fan uses a different temperature switch than the old style Nuova brushless fans.
Important! The EASIEST solution to running a brushless fan is to use Spal's sensor and harnesses to operate it. However, any of Spal's brushless fans can be run off any low current negative grounding PWM Pulse Width Modulation controller. The fan uses a "negative" or "grounding" type PWM. This means that the fan supplies the high +12V portion of the PWM square wave and the controller or ECU provides the low, ground, or zero volt portion of the square wave.

Note: Not all SPAL brushless fans use this response curve, but this is the most common. If you have questions contact SPAL technical support and be sure to include the part number of the fan you're using.

REQUIRED HARNESSES
- SBL-YAZ-PT10 Harness with a Yazaki connector on one end plugs in to the fan's connector. This is required for EACH brushless fan used.
- SBL-TS-HARN Harness to attach the SBL-TS** temperature sensors to the SBL-YAZ-PT10 brushless fan connector.

If using the ECU or a PWM to control this fan, you still need to purchase the SBL-YAZ-PT10 harness. The white wire coming out of the SBL-YAZ-PT10 harness connects to the output from the ECU/PWM. Kartek and Spal do NOT have a wiring diagram for an ECU or PWM. Again, Spal's sensor is the EASIEST method to control these fans.
Considering a positive logic duty cycle definition:Continuous low voltage is 0% duty cycle (dominant level)
Continuous high voltage is 100% duty cycle (recessive level)
