Fox Shocks Note: This kit is intentionally designed to only open the valve at 85% to prevent overpowering the iRD Live Valve, while still supplying sufficient electrical power to bleed and reassemble the shock when you service it.
If you measure the voltage directly out of the battery, WITHOUT a valve connected to it, the voltage will only show 2.4 volts. That is because the battery is internally protected and prevents measuring actual voltage unless it's under a load (connected to a Live Valve). This is normal operation.

Developed by Suspension Direct Inc, this kit allows you to power and open electronic shock valves that have a standard Deutsch Connector. This is a must for servicing the delicate solenoid live valves safely.
The powering tool includes a portable power bank for service out in the middle of nowhere and a standard wall outlet for servicing shocks at home in the garage.

WARNING! Before you can take the shock apart, you'll have to drain the nitrogen gas out of the shock first. THE SHOCK IS PRESSURIZED! The valve is "normally closed" without power. You'll use the above power kit to make the valve "open".
There is also a specialty socket wrench part number 398-00-434-0 (sold separately) for the Fox Live Valve solenoid retaining nut.
The 3/8" drive socket removes the black retaining nut holding the 218-00-002 Live Valve into the piston/valving housing. Once the nut and Live Valve are removed, you can then remove the snap ring holding the piston/valving housing in place. The Live Valve, retaining nut, plastic cap and socket wrench are NOT included in the power kit and are shown for reference only.
