Fox Shocks 5/16"-32 ORB Aluminum Schrader Air Valve Stem Housing Only Without O-Ring Or Core

Schrader valves with the short bottom thread use dash 008 o-ring. Valves with the long bottom thread use dash 010 o-ring. The short bottom thread Schrader valves were also used by Sway-A-Way on their Race Runner Shocks.

Originally Fox used 1/8" NPT Schrader valves, then they started using 7/16"-20 ORB o-ring boss valves and eventually switched to 5/16"-32 ORB o-ring boss valves. Around the time that they were using 7/16"-20 valves, they also used a rubber pellet on their shocks that you punctured with a needle to fill the shock up with nitrogen. Similar to how you fill a basketball with air.

The Fox 5/16"-32 o-ring boss valves have evolved over time too. Originally they were aluminum and had a short bottom thread just like Sway-A-Way Racerunner shocks. Then Fox increased the bottom thread length and eventually switched from aluminum to stainless steel.
