ICON Vehicle Dynamics has spent time working on the 2001 - 2010 GM 2500HD | 3500 Chevy / GMC platform looking to significantly improve ride quality and performance for the everyday driver. Utilizing a tubular uniball upper control arm paired with a specifically tuned shock package, the 100% bolt on ICON performance leveling packages for the Classic HD's can provide Cadillac ride quality with race truck travel numbers. Weak OEM ball joints present problems by limiting suspension travel, coupled with overall travel being left un-used from the factory. Using 1” PTFE Lined Stainless Uniballs combined with our 17-4 Stainless Taper Pin Adapters increases the upper arms misalignment, allowing for smooth and clean wheel travel without worrying about factory ball joint bind. Combining these uniball arms with our extended length 2.0" or 2.5" shocks will maximize wheel travel, along with improving damping efficiencies at any height of torsion adjustment.
This tubular uniball upper control for the 2001 - 2010 Chevy / GMC 2500HD | 3500 also has a welded in gusset plate, that accepts a bolt on lower shock mount to incorporate the use of dual shocks on this model truck. The bolt on mount comes with our dual shock upper tower, and makes it the right arm choice so you can upgrade at a later date with out the purchase of a new arms or performing custom fabrication.
