1/2 Inch Diameter Custom Length Chromoly Thru Rod Kit For Coil Over Front Axle Beams

Kartek's chromoly beam thru-rods are custom length rods that are built to order for your application. THEY ARE NOT REFUNDABLE. When converting a VW beam front suspension from using leaf springs to coil over shocks, thru rods are used in placed of the leaf springs to keep the front trailing arms in place. These chromoly rods are more resistant to stretching than mild steel and have been proven to survive the harsh conditions of countless off-road desert races.

The thru-rod kits are available in 1/2" and 5/8" diameter. The rods feature a welded hex head on one side and utilize a locking clamp and nylon nut on the other end to prevent the rod from loosening. The rod kits feature a single rod since the length can vary between the top and bottom rods. Each car will require two thru-rod kits.

The length is measured with the beam assembled with the arms and bushings installed. The measured length outside edge of arm to outside edge of arm.
