Description
XRP flapper check valves use a hinged spring loaded metal gate with a rubber gasket and must be installed with the direction of flow and against gravity or force, otherwise the weight of the fluid could cause the swing gate to open.
Check valves are normally sprung or have a hinged trap door, keeping constant pressure in one direction, allowing fluid to travel one way through the valve. Ideal to prevent drain back after the fuel pump is turned off, or when dual pumps are used and both pumps may not run simultaneously. For installation after the fuel pump but before the fuel pressure regulator.
