6 Puck Clutch Discs |

A 6 puck clutch disc is ideal for off-roading in sand and dirt since the design allows for a stronger engagement over a stock disc without being too harsh on the drivetrain thanks to wheel spin. The 6 puck design is used to gain better adhesion over an organic disc by using metallic composite pads and is lighter thanks to it's solid design. The 6 puck is popular for sand rails. Not recommended for street because of the harsh engagement. |

A 4 puck clutch disc is ideal for off-road racing applications when intentional slippage would normally burn up a stock organic disc and when a stronger clutch engagement is needed than what a 6 puck disc can provide. The 4 puck design is used to gain better adhesion over an organic disc by using metallic composite pads and is a lighter solid design compared to the 6 puck. Not recommended for street because of the harsh engagement. |

Multi Clutch Discs |

Today's most commonly used transaxles are limited to using a 200mm (VW) or 9" (Porsche) flywheel & clutch which limits the ability to use today's larger more powerful engines when using a single disc. By using a double or triple clutch disc setup, you effectively multiply the torque load capacity of a clutch without having to use larger transaxles with a larger bell housing or using a heavier pressure plate that can fatigue a driver. |
